Capt is the only UK charity working solely in child accident prevention - one of the biggest child killers in the UK. One of our key campaigns is Child Safety Week that takes place every year during the last week of June and has a media reach of around 65 million.
Like all charities, capt is looking at innovative ways to secure more revenue and needs volunteers to help in this mission.
In particular, volunteers are required who have one or more of the following skills:
Administrative/clerical skills
Database development and management
Basic marketing skills / desk research experience
Updating web content / managing capt website
PR and publication skills (updating publications, preparing press releases / organising events / implementing campaigns, etc)
Telephone or telesales background - good at customer service / customer engagement / telephone research activities
Events - administration, marketing and organisational skills
Fundraising - administration and co-ordination of external fundraising development inc. collection box management and material distribution
The charity is based in Farringdon, London. It is a small organisation, committed to the welfare of children and keen to broaden its reach. There is a good team spirit and plenty to be done. It's a great opportunity for someone who wants to broaden their skills and is happy to contribute to keeping children safe.
Ideally, capt would require someone on site for some of the time (even a few hours a week after work) but can be flexible. Some of the activities can be done from home.
