CAPT launches packs for parents for first time

17 Jul 2012

Parents packFor the first time ever, we’ve launched some brand new resource packs for parents themselves to buy.

In the run up to Child Safety Week, we ran a survey among parents. The results made for an alarming read. One result however really struck a chord: 40% (4 in 10) parents said they needed more advice about keeping their family safe.

CAPT resources are universal in their focus. However we have traditionally targeted the most at risk – parents on low incomes whose children are far more likely to be killed, disabled or seriously injured in accidents. While the objective of parents having access to free information remains central to our campaigning, we do know that parents who are able to, are willing to pay for this advice.

That’s why we’re introducing new affordable packs for parents themselves.

Like all CAPT resources, the packs focus on the most serious risks to children and the ones that result in the most frequent attendances to A&E and admissions to hospital, so parents can be sure that they know the REAL risks to their child’s safety.

They are very good value. The series of four packs (two for expectant and new parents and two for parents of toddlers) include individual copies of some of our bestselling publications, including our pictorial books. The two basic packs cost just £12.50. The two premium packs, which include two DVDs cost just £20. Both prices include P&P.
