Child Safety Week 2012: save the date!
This year’s Child Safety Week is 18 – 24 June 2012. Now’s the time to make sure it’s in your diary, especially if you’re starting to plan activities and campaigns for 2012.
It’s not too early to publicise the date to your networks, partner organisations, and even local press and parents. Child Safety Week is CAPT’s hugely successful flagship campaign. This year is expected to be its best ever in terms of public awareness, participation and press coverage.
It is a great opportunity to organise events and activities to engage parents on child accident prevention, with our support. We will be working hard to secure regional as well as national press coverage, and of course make sure you’re equipped with the resources you need to plan, publicise, deliver and evaluate activities. We'll provide theknowledge and tactics to help you work with partner organisations, press and potential funders.
Make sure the date’s in your diary, and help us spread the word: 18 -24 June 2012. Encourage colleagues to sign up to our database, to ensure that they’re kept informed of developments and free resources.
In February’s newsletter, we’ll be announcing the theme for this year’s Child Safety Week – watch this space!
